OOAK Baby Anouk - SOLD

Yesterday I finished Baby Anouk, a baby version of my very first plushie girl. She's so sweet and I'm more than happy with the result =).

Baby Anouk is a fairy baby bear (only 9cm tall). She's made with hand dyed yellow viscose and brown alpaca hair. I painted her faceup and eyes with much care and love. She has a lot of blushing on her cheeks, just like a newborn. She has a double neck joint and other four thread joints on her arms and legs. The neck wobble joint allows her to make really cute poses with her head. Baby Anouk is finished with a vintage painting touch and some belly blushing.

Avellana - OOAK Chocolate Panda Girl - SOLD

Avellana is a litte and cute chocolate panda girl. She loves to collect vintage and useless stuff, maybe you can find her rummaging among your drawers for forgotten things.

She's about 6 1/2 inches tall (16.5 cm) and is handsewn with the most lovely brown and beige alpaca fabrics. Her head is made of porcelain and was hand-painted by me with top-quality acrylic paints and pastels, and was coated with MSC sealant.
She has five joints, but the one in the head is double, so she can tilt her head easily. Also her arms and her legs were wired to increase her posability and allow her to stand up.
I finished her with the softest rich brown alpaca hair, a lovely red trim on her left paw, and a nice red silk ribbon with a key and a wood button.

Nuka

Nuka is finished, I put her project on hold for a while because I need to finish the comissions first, but now I can say that she's completed. She's for my personal collection.
She's a lovely grizzly bear girl, with native american strong inspiration, made with alpaca. As always, she's fully jointed and wired, and have needle felting paws with clay claws. I have done so much work on her, phew!

Also I found interesting to made a comparison picture for future reference, as Nuka is the biggest plushie girl I ever made. In the picture: Nuka (big size and light tan skintone), Primrose (medium size and white skintone), Trompetita (small size and normal skintone).

Finishing comissions

Well, lately I was busy finishing some comissions. I'm so proud that her new mums are happy with the result. Please, enjoy them a lot =)!
Here are some pictures of the new little girls. The first one is a tiny elephant like Trompetita, and the second one a polar bear that is waiting for her name.

Teryp and other comissions

Well, this entry is about special comissions that other people asked me. I'm so happy to create with suggestions and ideas, it makes the working procress like a collaboration. I think that my plushie girls have a natural and organic style (fitting so well my personality), so exploring other possibilities it's always a funny challenge for me!

ApokriPHa asked me for a black skintone girl (she's a big fan of african and ethnic characters) with a dragon/dinosaur custom. I admit that I was a bit reluctant with this idea at first time, but...wow, I love the result so much!!! I think that she mix something mystic like an african godness with something typical from medieval fantasy. Just judge it by yourself, she's Teryp:

Other girl asked me a bear girl with green eyes and auburn hair. As she likes white bears a lot I decided to make her a polar one. In this picture the hair is not attached, it was just put between the head and the hood just for showing her the how it would look. More pictures of her soon.

Trompetita - OOAK fairy baby elephant

Long time since last entry... I was working so hard on my thesis, so I didn't had much time to crafties. Despite this I was working on Nuka (she's finished now, needs new pictures) and in other girl from a trade. But today I want to show you Trompetita, my littlest plushie girl ever.

Trompetita is a fairy baby elephant (only 9cm tall). She's made with hand dyed viscose and mohair hair. I painted her faceup and eyes with much care and love. She has a lot of blushing on her cheeks, just like a newborn. She has a double neck joint and other four joints on her arms and legs.
I finished her with a vintage touch and a cute key that allows Trompetita to travel wherever she wants!

Nuka - Almost finished

Nuka - still working on her

I continue working hard in Nuka. I re-did her faceup because the sealant started to peel off (the sealant bottle was old, with the new one all was perfect). I felt so frustrated, as I noticed the problem when she was almost finished and with all the hair on her head. But well, I remove the hair and I clean the face and Nuka is alive again!!!
She is a native american grizzly girl, I think that both concepts match pretty well =).

NUKA WIP - A grizzly girl

Well, I was sure that my next animal girl needs to be a grizzly bear (don't ask me why, I don't know). Also I wanted that she will be more realistic than the other girls, so I decided to only use natural alpaca colors and make realistic claws for her. I never made needle-felted paws or sculpted any claws, but... I'm more than happy with the results (only the one on the left is finished). She needs tons of work yet but here is a preview =).
